Tin Ka Ping Foundation Cheque Presentation Ceremony
HKMU received HK$4 million donation from the Tin Ka Ping Foundation to support inmate education and promote Chinese cultural heritage. At the Cheque Presentation Ceremony, the University presented the Foundation with a calligraphy work by students, as a heartfelt gesture of appreciation.
HK Marathon 2026
The HKMU Runner Team, comprising over 160 students, staff and alumni, successfully completed the races at the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2026. Our runners infused the race with enthusiasm, perseverance and determination as they strived for excellence. Supporting the runners at multiple spots along the race route was a cheering team of nearly 100 HKMUers, creating a vibrant atmosphere.
HKMU and FHKI MoU signing ceremony
HKMU and the FHKI signed a MoU to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry, working together to foster talent development, facilitate knowledge transfer, and promote applied research.
2026 Admission Seminars
The HKMU Admission Seminars will take place on 7 February 2026 (Saturday) at our Ho Man Tin campuses. We have arranged a wide range of activities for the event, including programme and undergraduate non-JUPAS admissions talks, consultation booth, guided studio and lab tours, campus tours and libraries open house. HKMU held a flag-raising ceremony conducted by the newly inaugurated HKMU Student Flag-guard Team, expressing wishes for the prosperity and strength of the nation, as well as the stability and peace of Hong Kong.
HKMU ESGS
HKMU secured over HK$22 million in the latest round of the Education Bureau's “Enhancement and Start-up Grant Scheme for Self-financing Post-secondary Education” (ESGS) to establish a Flight Simulation Laboratory. This advanced facility will provide students enrolled in the Bachelor of Business Administration with Honours in Aviation Services Management programme with practical, industry-focused training.

HKMU conferred Honorary Degrees upon Professor Sylvia Fung Yuk-kuen, Dr Ina Ho Chan Un-chan, Mr Benedict Sin Nga-yan, and Professor Xu Bing, in recognition of their outstanding achievements and significant contributions to society.
37th Winter Congregation
HKMU held its 37th Winter Congregation, conferring approximately 4,800 degrees and other academic qualifications on graduates. President Prof. Paul Lam Kwan-sing congratulated the graduates on their success in completing their studies and encouraged graduates to embrace challenges with critical thinking and passion.
Opening Ceremony of HKMU Museum of Modern Chinese Literature
The HKMU Museum of Modern Chinese Literature and its inaugural exhibition, “Beyond Distance: Half a Lifelong Friendship of Eileen Chang, Stephen Soong, and Mae Fong Soong”, have officially opened! Showcasing over 120 precious items from renowned Chinese writer Eileen Chang and her close friends, Stephen Soong and Mae Fong Soong, the museum is now open to the public by appointment, free of charge.
QS Asia University Ranking
HKMU made its debut in the QS World University Rankings 2026 earlier in June, ranking in the 781–790 range. This marked a first for Hong Kong's self-financing institutions and UAS. Furthermore, HKMU has advanced by over 100 places for the second consecutive year in the latest QS Asia University Rankings 2026, now ranked among Asia's top 400 universities, rising to 393rd position, a significant leap of over 140 places compared to the previous year.
