Discourse on Life

This course aims to explore the nature of human existence, and to articulate a deepened understanding of human life in all its richness and contradictions. Students would be inspired to examine the meaning and moral significance of life, as well as the implications of being conscious of one's own mortality. The course will foster students' skills and sensitivity in applying these philosophical approaches to reflect on and to analyse concrete day-to-day problems arising from questions about the human condition, human values, and what it means to live.
