Important notes
This course will be taught via face-to-face mode, commencing in September 2021. Lectures and tutorials will be scheduled on weekday evenings and / or Saturdays.

Aims
This course aims to describe the nature of the English language, paying particular attention to the structure of words and sentences of the English language.

2 Morphology

  • Derivational morphology

Contact hours
Three hours per week.

Assessment
There will be one assignment (30%), one quiz (30%) and a final examination (40%). Students are required to submit assignments via the Online Learning Environment (OLE).
