The OUHK has just received a Gold Award at the Web Accessibility Recognition Scheme jointly organized by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer and the Equal Opportunities Commission. The scheme was organized to show appreciation to businesses and organizations which have made their websites accessible, with an aim to encourage adoption of web accessibility to facilitate access to online information and services by all segments of the community including persons with disabilities.

The expo aims at providing the latest information on further studies and vocational training opportunities for secondary school leavers. There will also be talks on multiple pathways for secondary school graduates, career planning and experience sharing by students.

To address the demand for professional services and thus further education about autism spectrum disorders, the School of Arts and Social Sciences and the Heep Hong Society jointly offer postgraduate programmes in Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). The programmes, commencing in September, aim at providing related professional workers, teachers and parents with more advanced and up-to-date knowledge of the theories, assessment methods and treatment techniques for ASD and related disorders.
　

The programmes aim to equip students with a thorough understanding of cultural and heritage tourism from the cultural, heritage, historical, anthropological, sociological and economic angles. The programmes are suitable for individuals from NGOs, the cultural and heritage fields, the educational sector, the tourism industry and the enlightened general public. These are bilingual part-time programmes taught in the face-to-face, lecture-and-tutorial mode.
　

A qualification in quantitative analysis provides students with a cutting edge in the competitive job market, the programme provides specific training of various quantitative methods for management decision-making, including operational research, time series and forecasting techniques. It is designed for those who have degrees or equivalent professional qualifications in relevant disciplines and are interested to embark on careers in management science, social, economic, investment and scientific data analysis. This is a part-time face-to-face programme.
　

The Bachelor of Business Administration programmes (Year 3 entry) cover various major subjects and are available for direct applications by holders of relevant Associate Degree or Higher Diploma, or equivalent qualifications. The programmes provide students with up-to-date practical skills and theoretical knowledge in business management. Students will receive a recognized degree upon completion of required credits within one year.

The Centre for Research in Distance and Adult Learning (CRIDAL) has recently been renamed the University Research Centre (URC). The renaming symbolizes a new phase and identity for the Centre that is closely in line with the University's development. 
 

The OUHK's School of Science and Technology is committed to water quality studies. Prof. Ho Kin-chung, Dean of the School, recently presented the key findings of his research on Lam Tsuen River in Tai Po from an earlier project.
