New Council appointments The Government has appointed the new Chairman, Deputy Chairman and Treasurer to the HKMU Council for a three-year term, starting from 20 Jun.

		Probiotics proved to enhance fish growth performance Dr Eric Sze of the School of Science and Technology and his team discovered in a 60-day study that using LGG probiotic as a feed supplement in the cultivation of mud carp fingerlings resulted in two-fold higher growth performance parameters than the control group as well as substantial resistance against the pathogenic bacterium A. hydrophila. The results have been published in Applied Microbiology.
