The University collaborated with Hong Kong Olympic Fan Club, a subsidiary of the Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC), to co-host a sharing session by a group of Mainland Olympians on 31 August 2024. Ten Mainland Olympians and a coach who participated in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games visited our campus and interacted with about 100 students from HKMU and local schools, as well as Hong Kong athletes.
The visiting Olympians shared with the students their training routines, resilience to challenges and affection for the country. They also interacted with students in group discussions, encouraging them to pursue their dreams and academic goals with courage and determination.
This event is an extension of the collaboration between the University and the SF&OC on various community engagement initiatives and consultancy projects, and is a testament to our commitment to supporting sports and athlete development in both Hong Kong and mainland China.
