Compulsory prerequisite(s)
You are required to have already completed BUS B950 and 20 credits from any Master's-level English courses offered by the Lee Shau Kee School of Business and Administration.

Aims
This course aims to enable students to develop, refine and complete a unique research report suitable for investigation at the master's level.

Contents
This course covers the following topics:

  • Identifying and framing a research topic
  • Review of literature and comparison of theories
  • Developing and refining research questions and conceptual framework
  • Additional issues in research design
  • Comparison of research strategies and methods
  • Interpreting results and presenting research findings
  • Writing a well-structured, coherent research report

Learning support
There will be ten three-hour tutorials.

Assessment
There are three written assignments and an oral presentation (compulsory assignment). Students must use word processing software (such as Microsoft Word) to prepare assignments, and submit assignments via the Online Learning Environment (OLE).
