Aims
The course aims to introduce students to the major concepts and theories of globalisation, and its political, societal and cultural dimensions. It also aims at enabling students to critically engage with competing perspectives of globalisation, to evaluate its effects on poverty and national/local cultures, and to analyse the impacts that globalisation has made on the state and its conventional functions.

Assessment
There will be two assignments, each worth 50% of the total course score. Students are required to submit assignments via the Online Learning Environment (OLE).
