Programme Description

This programme provides students with the basic practical skills and intellectual knowledge required of all managers. The programme offers students opportunities to explore various business management disciplines such as accounting and finance. This programme prepares students to be competent accounting and finance professionals in private and public enterprises.

Programme Intended Learning Outcomes (PILOs)

  1. Explain and critically review business theories and concepts to identify issues, analyse situations, and develop solutions for multi-faceted problems in organisational settings.
  2. Critically evaluate issues and make informed judgements in view of the organisation's strategies as well as ethical considerations.
  3. Make meaningful contributions as a leader and member in a team setting and communicate effectively.
  4. Analyse and apply accounting principles and standards to address business organisation issues.
  5. Searchorganiseassess and analyse data, and clearly convey relevant financial and non-financial information so that decision-makers can formulate informed decisions.

Programme Requirement

Programme-specific entry requirement:

A recognized Associate Degree or Higher Diploma in a business-related area (or its equivalent).

Choosing the first courses to get started

Students taking the Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting programme through pathway 1 are recommended to begin their studies with either LAW B262 or FIN B280.
