All Communications Technology programmes, including those with pathways, are phasing out starting from the 2021 Spring Term. For new admission, please consider other programmes.

Programme description

This programme provides comprehensive knowledge of the basic principles of telecommunications and computer communications, their applications in communications technology, and the basis of existing communications practices. Students will also be able to analyse and design advanced communication systems. Graduates will be qualified to take up employment as communications technologists and network administrators / managers in the communications industry.

Programme-specific entry requirement:

This programme admits students who are holders of a recognized Higher Diploma in one of the following disciplines:

  • Computer and Information Engineering
  • Computer Systems Administration
  • Internet and Multimedia Engineering
  • Multimedia Web Development and Digital Entertainment
  • Network Applications
  • Web-based Technology for Business

Students pursuing this programme must successfully complete 50 credits as follows
