Regulations for the Master of Creative and Cultural Industries Management
1. General
1.1
These regulations are made under paragraphs 1 to 4 of the Regulations for the Award of Postgraduate Degrees.
1.2
In these regulations definitions shall apply as in the Regulations for the Award of Postgraduate Degrees and in the Interpretation Section of the Academic Rules and Regulations.
1.3 A student shall complete the Master of Creative and Cultural Industries Management within one year for full-time study or two years for part-time study. Under special circumstances, students may apply to the Dean of the School of Arts and Social Sciences for extension of the maximum period of study, i.e. extension up to one year for full-time study or two years for part-time study.

Entry Requirements
2.1
To enter the Master of Creative and Cultural Industries Management programme, a student shall normally possess:
 
2.1.1
a recognized degree (or equivalent) in an arts-related or a business-related area; or
 
2.1.2
a recognized degree (or equivalent) in other areas, plus at least two years of relevant working experience.
3.
Master of Creative and Cultural Industries Management (MCCIMF)
3.1
To be eligible for the award of Master of Creative and Cultural Industries Management, a student shall:
 
3.1.1
comply with the Regulations for Admission, Registration and Maintenance of Status; and
 
3.1.2
comply with the Regulations for the Award of Postgraduate Degrees; and
 
3.1.3
obtain at least 60 credits in courses at Postgraduate level prescribed by the regulations.
3.2
For the Master of Creative and Cultural Industries Management, the University has prescribed that a student must:
 
3.2.1
successfully complete 45 credits from core courses labelled CM in Table 1; and
 
3.2.2
successfully complete 15 credits from elective courses labelled OM (for business major) in Table 1.
    OR
    successfully complete 20 credits from BUS B808F/BUS B828F (for non-business major) in Table 1.

Notes:

  1. Courses form excluded combinations with other courses. Only one of the courses of the excluded combinations can count towards an OUHK award. Students should refer to the list of excluded combinations for details.
     
  2. For non-business major students admitted to the MCCIM programme after 2019 Autumn Term, they are required to complete BUS B828F / BUS B808F to satisfy the MCCIM programme requirements for graduation.
     
  3. The course code of MKT B891F has been revised as IB B891F.  If students have successfully completed MKT B891F, they are deemed to have satisfied the requirements for IB B891F.
     
  4. The course code of CAMD A891BF has been revised as CAMD A891F.  If students have successfully completed CAMD A891BF, they are deemed to have satisfied the requirements for CAMD A891F.
