General |
1.1 |
These regulations are made under paragraph 1 to 4 of the Regulations for the Award of Postgraduate Degrees and paragraphs 1 to 4 of the Regulations for the Award of Postgraduate Diplomas and Certificates. |
1.2 |
In these regulations definitions shall apply as in the Regulations for the Award of Postgraduate Degrees and Regulations for the Award of Postgraduate Diplomas and Certificates and in the Interpretation Section of the Academic Rules and Regulations. |
1.3 |
The Regulations Governing the Articulation of Qualifications shall apply for conversion of the Postgraduate Certificate in Energy and Environmental Sustainability (Energy Management and Audits) and Postgraduate Certificate in Energy and Environmental Sustainability (Cleaner Production and Green Technology) and Postgraduate Certificate in Environmental Leadership and Decision Making to the award of Master of Science in Energy and Environmental Sustainability. |
1.4 |
A student shall complete the Postgraduate Certificate in Energy and Environmental Sustainability (Energy Management and Audits) or Postgraduate Certificate in Energy and Environmental Sustainability (Cleaner Production and Green Technology) or Master of Science in Energy and Environmental Sustainability within 6 years of first enrolling in the programme. |

2. |
Entry Requirements |
2.1 |
To enter the Postgraduate Certificate in Energy and Environmental Sustainability (Energy Management and Audits) or Postgraduate Certificate in Energy and Environmental Sustainability (Cleaner Production and Green Technology) or the Master of Science in Energy and Environmental Sustainability programme, a student shall normally possess: |

2.1.1 |
a recognized degree in Energy, Environmental Teachnology, Environmental Studies, Applied Sciences or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline; or |
|
2.1.2 |
a Postgraduate Certificate in Environmental Studies offered by the OUHK. |

3. |
Postgraduate Certificate in Energy and Environmental Sustainability (Energy Management and Audits) (See Note 3) |
3.1 |
To be eligible for the award of the Postgraduate Certificate in Energy and Environmental Sustainability (Energy Management and Audits), a student shall: |

3.1.1 |
comply with the Regulations for Admission, Registration and Maintenance of Status; and |
|
3.1.2 |
comply with the Regulations for the Award of Postgraduate Diplomas and Certificates; and |
|
3.1.3 |
obtain at least 20 credits in courses at Postgraduate level prescribed by the regulations as appropriate to the postgraduate certificate for which notice has been given. |
3.2 |
For the Postgraduate Certificate in Energy and Environmental Sustainability (Energy Management and Audits), the University has prescribed that a student must: |

successfully complete 20 credits from course ENVR S890F in Table 1. |

4. |
Postgraduate Certificate in Energy and Environmental Sustainability (Cleaner Production and Green Technology) (See Note 3) |
4.1 |
To be eligible for the award of the Postgraduate Certificate in Energy and Environmental Sustainability (Cleaner Production and Green Technology), a student shall: |

4.1.1 |
comply with the Regulations for Admission, Registration and Maintenance of Status; and |
|
4.1.2 |
comply with the Regulations for the Award of Postgraduate Diplomas and Certificates; and |
|
4.1.3 |
obtain at least 20 credits in courses at Postgraduate level prescribed by the regulations as appropriate to the postgraduate certificate for which notice has been given. |
4.2 |
For the Postgraduate Certificate in Energy and Environmental Sustainability (Cleaner Production and Green Technology), the University has prescribed that a student must: |

4.2.1 |
successfully complete 20 credits from course ENVR S891F in Table 1. |

5. |
Master of Science in Energy and Environmental Sustainability (See Note 3) |
5.1 |
To be eligible for the award of the Master of Science in Energy and Environmental Sustainability, a student shall: |

5.1.1 |
comply with the Regulations for Admission, Registration and Maintenance of Status; and |
|
5.1.2 |
comply with the Regulations for the Award of Postgraduate Degrees; and |
|
5.1.3 |
obtain at least 60 credits in courses at Postgraduate level prescribed by the regulations as appropriate to the master of science degree for which notice has been given. |
5.2 |
For the Master of Science in Energy and Environmental Sustainability, the University has prescribed that a student must successfully complete 60 credits from courses ENVR S890F, ENVR S891F and ENVR S880F / ENVR S881CW and ENVR S882CW and ENVR S883CW and ENVR S884CW in Table 1. |
