Regulations for the Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing (Chinese Medicinal Nursing) and Master of Nursing (Chinese Medicinal Nursing)
1. General
1.1 These regulations are made under paragraph 1 to 4 of the Regulations for the Award of Postgraduate Degrees and paragraphs 1 to 4 of the Regulations for the Award of Postgraduate Diplomas and Certificates.
1.2 In these regulations definitions shall apply as in the Regulations for the Award of Postgraduate Degrees and Regulations for the Award of Postgraduate Diplomas and Certificates and in the Interpretation Section of the Academic Rules and Regulations.
1.3 The Regulations Governing the Articulation of Qualifications shall apply for conversion of the Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing (Chinese Medicinal Nursing) to the award of Master of Nursing (Chinese Medicinal Nursing).
2. Entry Requirements
2.1 To enter the Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing (Chinese Medicinal Nursing) or the Master of Nursing (Chinese Medicinal Nursing) programme, a student must :
  2.1.1 be licensed to practice as a nurse in Hong Kong or other countries; and
  2.1.2 have a bachelor degree, preferably for bachelor degree in nursing or health-related discipline.

Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing (Chinese Medicinal Nursing)
3.1 To be eligible for the award of the Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing (Chinese Medicinal Nursing), a student shall:
  3.1.1 comply with the Regulations for Admission, Registration and Maintenance of Status; and
  3.1.2 comply with the Regulations for the Award of Postgraduate Diplomas and Certificates; and
  3.1.3 have been deemed to satisfy in full the specified pre-entry requirement for the programme of study; and
  3.1.4 obtain at least 40 credits in courses at Postgraduate level prescribed by the regulations as appropriate to the postgraduate diploma for which notice has been given.
3.2 For the Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing (Chinese Medicinal Nursing), the University has prescribed that a student must:
  3.2.1 successfully complete 40 credits from the courses labelled PD in Table 1.

Master of Nursing (Chinese Medicinal Nursing)
4.1 To be eligible for the award of the Master of Nursing (Chinese Medicinal Nursing), a student shall:
  4.1.1 comply with the Regulations for Admission, Registration and Maintenance of Status; and
  4.1.2 comply with the Regulations for the Award of Postgraduate Degrees; and
  4.1.3 have been deemed to satisfy in full the specified pre-entry requirement for the programme of study; and
  4.1.4 obtain at least 60 credits in courses at Postgraduate level prescribed by the regulations as appropriate to the master of nursing degree for which notice has been given.
4.2 For the Master of Nursing (Chinese Medicinal Nursing), the University has prescribed that a student must successfully complete 60 credits from courses labelled PD and RP in Table 1.
