President's Awards for Excellence in Inspirational Teaching

To take our teaching quality to a new height, one major driver is to properly recognize teachers’ contributions. In order to recognize and reward both full-time and part-time teaching staff who are making inspirational learning experience for students and / or providing teaching inspiration for fellow colleagues, the President’s Awards for Excellence in Inspirational Teaching will be established to replace the existing President’s Awards for Teaching Excellence. Candidates will submit their entry in the form of a teaching e-Portfolio.

President's Awards for Excellence in Inspirational Teaching 2024

Award Categories

Professional teaching
(for full-time academic staff)

FT academic staff
at least 4 years of FT teaching experience at post-secondary (e.g. AD or HD), undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.

Early career teaching
(for full-time academic staff)

FT academic staff
1-3 years of FT teaching experience at post-secondary (e.g. AD or HD), undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.

Part-time teaching
(for part-time teaching staff)

PT teaching staff
Served HKMU/LiPACE on a PT basis for around 2-3 years at post-secondary (e.g. AD or HD), undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
in-service part-time academic staff at HKMU/LiPACE in the academic year they submit the award entry.

Prizes

Each winner will receive a cash prize of HK$20,000 and a plaque.
Each top finalist will receive a cash prize of HK$5,000 and a plaque.
