In the Analysis phase of the ADDIE model, teachers are asked to identify the intended learning outcomes of a course. The Outcome-Based Teaching and Learning (OBTL) approach proposed by the UGC in recent years adopts the same rationale. In OBTL, the teaching and learning activities and assessment methods are constructively aligned with the intended learning outcomes (ILOs) of the course.
