The University never stops going the limit to engage alumni. We aim to build a close and lifelong relationship with alumni by providing an array of activities, benefits, services and communication channels. As the alumni community grows, the current structure of alumni groups was reviewed and a new umbrella alumni association, the Hong Kong Metropolitan University Alumni Association Limited (HKMUAA), the only alumni association officially formed by the University, has been established to bring alumni and alumni groups together and rally support for the University's development.
HKMUAA, a subsidiary of Hong Kong Metropolitan University, is the only alumni association officially formed by the University. The objectives for the formation of HKMUAA are as follows:
(a) To play a role in connecting the alumni groups as a dedicated association serving HKMU alumni;
(b) To develop the spirit of solidarity and fraternity among alumni;
(c) To strengthen relationships among alumni and foster ties between alumni and the alma mater through various activities;
(d) To cultivate alumni's sense of belonging to their alma mater by providing them with exposure to academic discussion, information and exchange opportunities; and
(e) To gather alumni in supporting university development, and enhancing the status and recognition of HKMU.
