The nominee for the Award must be an alumnus / alumna of HKMU (or its forerunner The Open University of Hong Kong / The Open Learning Institute of Hong Kong) who has successfully completed a full-time or part-time University proper programme and attained an academic award conferred by HKMU (or its forerunner The Open University of Hong Kong / The Open Learning Institute of Hong Kong).
Each nominee shall be proposed by a nominator and seconded by two supporters.

Each nominator can propose more than one nominee, but cannot nominate himself / herself or be a member of the HKMU Distinguished Alumni Award Selection Committee (the Selection Committee). The nominator can be the supporter of another nominee whom he / she is not nominating.
The supporter for the Award must be:
Each supporter can second more than one nominee, but cannot be the nominee himself / herself or be a member of the the Selection Committee. The supporter can be the nominator of another nominee whom he / she is not supporting.
Nominators are required to complete and submit the nomination form, which will be forwarded to the Selection Committee for selecting the Award recipients. Before submitting the nomination form, consent must be obtained from the eligible supporters to second the nomination.
Nomination form can be downloaded here. All nomination forms should be submitted to DAAO by email (alumni@hkmu.edu.hk) by 2 April 2024 (Tuesday). Submission by fax or by post will not be accepted.
