I'm Sakuragi Hanamichi

The Japanese anime Slam Dunk is the best-loved animation of many post-70s and post-80s. Its red-haired protagonist Sakuragi Hanamichi was a youth idol. The movie version released in January this year enlisted the help of the original cast who dubbed the TV series in the 1990s, which brought back fond memories for a lot of people. In this issue, we've invited the voice actor for Sakuragi –Leung Chi-tat, a graduate of our BBA programme – to share with us stories inside and outside the dubbing studio.

Rediscover Your Alma Mater

The Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon (SCHKM), the territory's annual sporting event, has been successfully concluded. This year, HKMU formed its marathon team, comprising 130 alumni, students and staff members.

Throughout the years, running has been a wonderful way to unite members of the HKMU community. In 2013, 45 runners of the University participated in the SCHKM. Alumna Joan Fan Ching-yee took the fourth place in the half-marathon (Women's Division), beating her personal best time from the previous event where she won second runner-up. Our former President Prof. John C Y Leong and Council Chairman Dr Eddy C Fong were invited to take part in the 1.8-km Leaders Cup. With more and more enthusiastic participation from the HKMU community, let's cheer for the HKMUers who shine in various arenas and fields!
