Courtesy visits to Xiamen and Fuzhou by OUHK delegation

As part of the celebration of OUHK 25th Anniversary, a delegation of seven persons visited Xiamen and Fuzhou from 16 Sep to 18 Sep 2014. They paid courtesy visits to Xiamen University and Fuzhou University, met Fujian Provincial Education Department and joined the Fujian alumni celebration banquets.

OUHK worked with China partner Fu Guang Foundation on post-graduate programmes in Fujian area since 1997. With the approval from Fujian Provincial government, 1,800 post-graduates from Business Administration programmes have been trained through distance learning so far.

There are many outstanding alumni, including government officials, directors and general managers of state-owned or private enterprises, who contributed a lot to the country and are successful in their professions.

They paid courtesy visits to Xiamen University and Fuzhou University in order to discuss collaboration in student activities and academic research, and explore possibility to develop new programmes.

The delegation met Fujian Provincial Education Department and its International Cooperation Office to discuss future co-operation.

The delegation was well received by the Secretary of Education Work Committee of CPC Fujian Provincial Committee, gathering invaluable comments and concluded the trip with fruitful ending.
