Mr Chan is the Managing Director of Wang On Group Ltd. and Wai Yuen Tong Medicine Holdings Ltd., both are listed companies in Hong Kong. He is also the Chairperson and Managing Director of two other listed companies, as well as the Independent Non-Executive Director of an H-share company. He has particular expertise in mergers and acquisitions.

Mr Chan became a corporate financial controller at the age of 28 and was appointed to the board of directors a year later when the company went public.

He will share his valuable experience and unique formula of success.

The Alumni Affairs Office of the Public Affairs Unit organized three advancement talks in February. Three professionals from different sectors shared their experience of success with our alumni and students.

Mr Thomas Chan delivered the first talk on the 'Career Success Formula' to 100 participants on 13 February. Mr Chan is Managing Director of locally listed companies Wang On Group Ltd and Wai Yuen Tong Medicine Holdings Ltd. He is also a key member of the management of several other listed companies. Mr Chan shared his four secrets to success. They are, think positive, look smart, widen social network, and keep exchanging information with the others.

The Alumni Affairs Office raised $50,000 for the Alumni Scholarship and Bursary Fund to provide assistance to outstanding or financially needy students. The Fund will be matched 100% by the Mr Vincent Woo Matching Donation Fund.
