In recent years, the University has seen rapid growth on all fronts, including a steady increase in student enrolment, various large-scale funded research projects ready to launch, and a growing amount of collaboration with the community. To increase the campus capacity to cope with the surging demand of academic needs, HKMU plans to expand its campus and upgrade its teaching facilities by making use of a slope of land at the junction of Sheung Shing Street and Fat Kwong Street in Ho Man Tin, adjacent to the HKMU main campus and the Jockey Club Institute of Healthcare, for the construction of a new campus. After several rounds of negotiations, the Town Planning Board approved the University's proposal of the usage and development earlier in January. The University will next apply to the Government for a grant for the site to commence the construction of the new campus and the school departments are all working together to make this happen.
The route of Wellness Walk covers all the existing campuses and the site of the new campus. Your donations will be used to support the general development of the University. We welcome all of you to join!
