Jinan University (JNU) and Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) successfully held a significant alumni exchange event on 28 November 2024. This gathering not only marked a reunion for the alumni but also highlighted the outstanding achievements and innovative endeavours of alumni from both universities in their respective fields.

The event commenced with welcoming speeches by Ms Zenobia Chia, Director of Development and Alumni Affairs of HKMU, and Ms Zhu Xiaomin, Director of the EMBA Centre, School of Management of JNU. They warmly welcomed the alumni and expressed their hopes for future collaboration. Following this, alumni representatives Mr Pang Mingguang of HKMU and Mr Pan Kanghu of JNU shared their extensive experiences and insights in the business sector, opening the floor for the exchange.

During the innovation and entrepreneurship sharing session, six distinguished alumni delivered inspiring speeches that became the highlights of the event. Their stories provided valuable experiences and insights for the attendees, while also showcased the remarkable achievements and innovative spirit of alumni from both JNU and HKMU in various fields. These stories motivated young people to bravely pursue their dreams and continue exploring their entrepreneurial journeys.

To conclude the event, attendees visited the Stanley Ho Library at the HKMU main campus, further deepening their understanding of the campus culture. This alumni exchange actively responded to the collaboration in higher education within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, promoting academic exchanges between the two institutions and enhancing the international perspectives of alumni from both regions.
