莫乃光先生是資訊科技及電訊業資深從業員，1999年當選為香港十大傑出數碼青年，現時為香港互聯網協會會長。莫先生畢業於香港華仁書院，其後赴笈美國，於普度大學先後完成電腦電機工程學士及電機工程碩士課程，1994年從美國矽谷回流香港，在《明報》旗下智才企業工作，創立香港資訊聯網有限公司（HKNet）並出任副董事總經理，該公司為香港早期互聯網供應商之一。期間他創辦香港互聯網供應商協會，並曾擔任主席、執委等要職。
在社會服務方面，莫先生身兼本港多個政府法定機構和諮詢組織委員，曾任政府中央政策組非全職顧問，並先後三次於行政長官八百人選舉委員會競選中，在資訊科技界別當選成為委員。莫先生也是專欄作家，經常就財經、電腦資訊及互聯網等範疇撰文，間中亦在報章雜誌發表政論及對時事的觀感，發表園地包括《信報》、《太陽報》及《茶杯》等。
