In celebration of the 35th Anniversary of Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU), the Charismatic Historical Figures in Cantonese Opera Concert will be held at 2:00 p.m. on 27 October 2024 (Sunday) at Jockey Club Grand Theatre, 3/F, The Jockey Club Institute of Healthcare (IOH), HKMU.
Charismatic Historical Figures in Cantonese Opera Concert is jointly organised by the School of Arts and Social Sciences of HKMU and Ina Ho Cantonese Opera Research Centre under the School, and co-organised by Centre of National History Education (Hong Kong). Special thanks must go to the renowned Professor Joseph TING Sun-pao and Professor YAU Yat for introducing the historical characters in the selected operatic pieces from multiple perspectives, which is to form a more vividly impression to the audiences while enjoying the familiar tunes.
The concert is free of charge and all are welcome. Each person can reserve up to three tickets on a first-come, first-served basis.
