Icing Sugar Cookies Workshop (October 2, 2024)

Ina Ho Cantonese Opera Research Centre (IHCORC) hosted an activity named 'Cantonese Opera Art Appreciation Series – Indulging and Immersing in Flavour • Craft • Scent • Costume — Icing Sugar Cookies Workshop' for HKMU staff and students on October 2, 2024 (Wednesday), with around 20 participants joining the event. The workshop started by Dr Penn Ip introducing to the participants the characteristics and meanings of different Cantonese opera face paintings. Then Ms Stephanie from Amico, the tutor, demonstrated and guided the participants in painting Cantonese opera faces onto cookies, introducing Cantonese opera culture in a fun and engaging way. This was the first event under the series 'The Cantonese Opera Art Appreciation Series – Indulging and Immersing in Flavour • Craft • Scent • Costume' to be held by IHCORC.
