Introduction

Aims

To equip students with a thorough understanding of cultural and heritage tourism from the cultural, heritage, historical, anthropological, sociological and economic angles.

 

Who should enroll?

Individuals from NGOs, the cultural and heritage fields in general, public and private organizations concerned with cultural tourism and heritage tourism, and the enlightened general public will find the proposed programmes to be of interest.

 

Programmes

Master of Arts in Cultural & Heritage Tourism (MACAHTF: 60 credits, 40 from courses taught in English, 20 from courses taught in Chinese).
 

Mode of learning

Face-to-face lectures and tutorials on weekday evenings or Saturday.

 

Language of instruction

Courses are either in English or Chinese; students must be fluent in both spoken and written English and Chinese. For applicants from outside Hong Kong, please click here; or equivalent is required to prove fluency in English.
(Note: courses taught in Chinese will use either Cantonese or Putonghua, according to the lecturer's choice.)

Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualifications.

Duration of study

Full-time students may be able to finish the whole programme within ONE academic year. Part-time students have to finish within TWO academic years (extension of study duration is subject to the approval of the Dean of the School of Arts and Social Sciences).
