This programme aims to deepen students' understanding of the concepts, practices and techniques for conducting international business, while also focusing on marketing activities. It helps students strengthen their analytical and communication skills, and the ability to develop and make use of opportunities in an international business environment. Combining marketing and global business knowledge, MPMGBMF prepares graduates for professional and managerial positions across the marketing spectrum.

  1. Critically evaluate the contemporary marketing and global business issues using relevant theories and practices.
  2. Apply global transferrable skills in international business and marketing to address opportunities and problems faced by global organisations.
  3. Formulate socially responsible and ethical strategies to deal with dynamic marketing and international business environment.
  4. Communicate effectively as a business executive with people in the same and different disciplines in the context of marketing and global business.

Entry Requirements

Applicants to the MPMGBMF programme must satisfy the following entry requirement:

  • a recognised Bachelor's degree; and
  • applicants must meet the following English language proficiency requirements if their Bachelor's Degrees or equivalent qualifications did not adopt English as the medium of instruction.

Students pursuing the MPMGBMF programme through Pathway 1 must complete 24 credit-units, including 12 credit-units from BUS 8060BEF and 12 credit-units from concentration courses (6 credit-units from IB courses and 6-credit units from MKT courses respectively). (For details of Pathway 1, please refer to the Entry Requirements.)

In addition to the 36 credit-units (or 24 credit-units for Pathway 1), students will need to complete additional courses required by the School after assessing their academic backgrounds, results in the admission tests, language proficiency and other relevant factors in order to facilitate effective learning of Master's degrees in business-related areas. The specific requirements will be stipulated in the offer letter.

DURATION OF STUDY

Full-time and part-time students can normally complete the Master's programmes in 18 and 30 months respectively. The minimum study duration for full-time students of the Master's programmes is 1 year. The minimum study duration for part-time students of the Master's programmes is 2 years.

MODE OF STUDY

The courses in the programme will be taught through face-to-face mode. The programme will accept new students in the Autumn Term only.

LANGUAGE OF INSTRUCTION

The language of instruction for all courses of the programme is English.

Global Immersion Programme

In the era of globalisation, market opportunities and business operations are no longer confined by national boundaries. B&A is dedicated to preparing students for the challenges of the international business environment. In view of this, the Global Immersion Programme is designed to provide students with opportunities to study and travel abroad, gain exposure to the language of global business, engage with global issues, and ultimately become empowered global citizens. The tuition fees include the fees for the Global Immersion Programme^. Air passage, food, accommodation, and other incidental expenses are not included in the tuition fees and are to be borne by students. The Global Immersion Programme is compulsory for full-time students and optional for part-time students.

ADMISSION INTERVIEW ARRANGEMENT

Applicants who are deemed to have fulfilled the entry requirements will be invited to attend an admission interview. The interview will be conducted via Zoom. Candidates may be asked to discuss current affairs and/or case analysis for the assessment of their capabilities, such as analytical skills, adaptability, interpersonal skills, presentation skills, and their ability to form logical arguments.
