Ivan LAU Chun Man

Biography

LAU Chun Man Ivan graduated from Hong Kong Polytechnic University and obtained his Master of Social Science from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Before joining the HKMU, Ivan worked as Director of Student Services cum programme leader for a design programme at Community College of City University. He assumed leadership in formulating and implementing policies and strategic plans for student support. Successful application for funding from the Government’s Quality Enhancement Support Scheme sought to strengthen the public profile of sub-degree level students. In addition, he contributed to developing of new full-time QF level 4 and 5 programmes and was responsible for the Learning Programme Accreditation Exercises. With more than 20 years of experience at higher education institutions, he is regularly invited by HKCAAVQ to serve as a specialist in panels for the accreditation of both local and overseas academic programmes offered in Hong Kong. He is also appointed as examination personnel for the HKEAA to advise on the assessing creative studies.
