Malcolm Liao is an Assistant Director and Producer whose films include 'Pokémon Detective Pikachu', Disney's 'Artemis Fowl', TVB's 'Flying Tiger 飛虎之潛行極戰', and BAFTA Award-winning BBC series 'This Country'.
Graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Media (Flinders University, South Australia) and Bachelor of Science in Multimedia Computing (Coventry University), United Kingdom. He then relocated to London where he studied at Royal Holloway, University of London and obtained his MA in Film and TV Producing. During his studies in the UK, he worked with Oscar Academy Awards nominated producer Uberto Pasolini.
Malcolm made his debut in 2017 for UKTV 'Porters' with Blade Runner Actor, Rutger Hauer. He then joined British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) as an Assistant Director and filmed well-known series such as 'Silent Witness', 'Josh', 'Tracy Ullman Show' and 'This Country' which won Best Scripted Comedy in British Academy of Film and TV Arts (BAFTA).
Malcolm continued his success in both Film and TV industry, filming TVB 'Flying Tiger 飛虎之潛行極戰', BBC's 'Call The Midwife', 'MotherFatherSon', and Feature Film 'The Courier (IronBark)' with actor Benedict Cumberbatch.
