Credit Transfer Arrangement between the University and Hong Kong Police College (HKPC)
The University recognizes the following two professional diploma programmes of the Hong Kong Police College (HKPC) for a maximum of 40 credits for credit transfer towards all the University’s bachelor's degree programmes and bachelor's with honours degree programmes:
(1) Professional Diploma Programme in Policing for Recruit Police Constable.#1
(2) Professional Diploma Programme in Leadership and Management in Policing for Probationary Inspectors.#1
In addition, a specific arrangement is in place for candidates holding either one of the above professional diplomas to apply for Block Credit Transfer (BCT) with a recognized Higher Diploma#2, or Associate Degree#2 or equivalent qualification or above#3. The maximum transfer that may be granted is 80 credits towards an ordinary bachelor's degree programme and 100 credits towards a bachelor's with honours degree programme. Currently, this specific arrangement covers all bachelor's degrees and bachelor's degree with honours offered by the School and Arts and Social Sciences, and the Lee Shau Kee School of Business and Administration. Candidates should note that eligibility under this specific arrangement is subject to individual assessment.
Candidates may apply for credit transfer via General Credit Transfer (GCT) or Block Credit Transfer (BCT). Each application submitted is subject to the assessment criterion of the respective credit transfer scheme.

#2 A recognized Higher Diploma or Associate Degree is normally assigned a Total Credit Value (TCV) of 80.
#3 The Total Credit Value (TCV) of the qualification to be accepted under this specific arrangement should 80 or above.

(1) Professional Diploma Programme in Customs Operations for Customs Officers#1
(2) Professional Diploma Programme in Customs Management for Inspectors#1
In addition, a specific arrangement is in place for candidates holding either one of the above professional diplomas to apply for Block Credit Transfer (BCT) with a recognized Higher Diploma#2, or Associate Degree#2 or equivalent qualification or above.#3 The maximum transfer that may be granted is 80 credits towards an ordinary bachelor's degree programme and 100 credits towards a bachelor's with honours degree programme.
