Examination Periods

Examinations will normally be held in the following periods:

Autumn Examinations: December/January
Spring Examinations: April/May
Summer Examinations: August

Please refer to the Academic Calendar for the dates. 

Examination Timetable

The examination timetable will be announced to students by email and on this website approximately 6 weeks prior to the start of the examination period.

Examination Timetables for Distance Learning Courses

Candidates must read carefully all the examination regulations and instructions. Any infringement of the examination regulations/instructions may lead to SERIOUS PENALTY, or even be disqualified from the examination.

Examination Venue and Arrangement

To be released to students online about 4 weeks before the start of the examination period.

Approved List of Calculators / Admissible Items

Only in courses specified that calculators are allowed can students bring calculators into the examination room. Students should refer to the Admissible/Inadmissible Materials List announced for the respective examination period and check the information carefully before attending an examination.

For course examinations that allow you to bring calculators, students should refer to the link below for the University’s approved list of calculators:

(Applicable only if the use of calculators is allowed for a particular examination)

Models which do not appear on the Approved List of Calculators or do not bear the ‘HKEA/HKEAA Approved’ label are NOT allowed. Candidates bringing inadmissible or non-approved calculators may be penalized or disqualified from the examination.
