The programme is designed for Training Officers of the Correctional Services Department who are interested in training management and development. It emphasises the integration of theory and practice. Students will acquire in-depth knowledge about curriculum design and development, teaching methodology, course assessment and accreditation, teaching skills and techniques, classroom management, and knowledge management. Students will enable to utilize gamification-based e-learning strategies and digital technologies in advanced learning and teaching and critically evaluate the key issues, practices, and techniques in the best use of digital technologies. Upon completing the programme, students should be able:
- To strengthen the competencies of Training Officers in accordance with the professional standards of the correctional services.
- To advance the teaching skills and techniques of Training Officers.
- To broaden the knowledge of the Training Officers in teaching methodologies and classroom management.
- To enhance Training Officers' knowledge and skills in course assessment and accreditation.
- To equip Training Officers with the necessary skills to manage the professional development of other Training Officers/ CSD staff.
Students are required to complete five courses.

The five courses in the programme include face-to-face lectures, self-directed learning activities, and self-study. Students are required to complete various learning activities, such as videos, readings, online exercises, online quizzes, online discussion, case studies, case analyses, group presentation, reflective journals, mini project, think-pair-share activity, and Jigsaw activity.
Students admitted to the programme are required to have obtained:
- a recognized Bachelor's degree (or its equivalent); and
- shall be serving the Correctional Services Department at the rank of officer or above.
Students will be awarded the Postgraduate Certificate in Training Management and Development.
