Turnitin is an online service for plagiarism detection. It checks the similarities of submitted assignments/papers by comparing text with the massive database provided by Turnitin. An Originality Report is generated after the comparison and it summarizes the results of originality check with matching text highlighted.
Turnitin account's username is the HKMU email address. Password has to be assigned separately after the account is ready. Please follow the Turnitin's instruction email that would be sent to your HKMU email account for password creation.
Note: With the integration of Turnitin in OLE for full time courses, academic staff (the role in Turnitin is “instructor”) does not have to maintain classes and assignments in turnitin.com. For the courses without integration, academic staff has to create a class and an assignment in turnitin.com for students to submit/upload the papers for checking.
