Biography

Valerie is a committed educator and researcher dedicated to inspiring her students in health promotion and education. She believes in unlocking their full potential by providing guidance and setting high yet achievable expectations, ensuring they feel supported every step of the way.

To spark her students' passion for learning, Valerie connects lessons to real-life situations and encourages curiosity through thought-provoking questions and interactive activities.

With over a decade of experience in community-based research, Valerie has honed her expertise in various methodologies. These include longitudinal before-after studies, cross-sectional studies, and randomised controlled trials. She's also skilled in systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and risk score development and validation. Valerie believes that collaboration among multidisciplinary teams is key to conducting impactful research.

She is dedicated to nurturing future healthcare leaders by sharing her enthusiasm and igniting their passion for knowledge.
