Applied research will be one of the core aspects of the OUHK Physiotherapy Department. By incorporating research into teaching and clinical practice, the program will equip students with research skills, a critical thinking mindset and the most up-to-date knowledge.

In the coming five years, our research theme will focus on the musculoskeletal system with life span approach. Investigating the underlying mechanism and biomechanics with derived intervention to children with developmental coordination disorder and sensorimotor deficits; injury prevention, exercise and sport to persons with impairments; and cognition-body interaction in older adults are a few examples.
