Biography
Ms. CHOI obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and Master of Arts in Information Systems from City University of Hong Kong.
Ms. CHOI started her career in the Academic Registry at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. In 1990, she joined the Registry of the University (then “The Open Learning Institute of Hong Kong”), and progressed to the position of Deputy Registrar in 1996. In 1997, Ms. CHOI emigrated to Canada and took up various positions including Operations Manager, Budget Manager and Project Manager in academic research. In 2008, she joined the York University in Toronto as Executive MBA Programme Manager and subsequently progressed to Assistant Director of Student & Enrolment Services and then Assistant Director of Systems & Operations.
In 2018, Ms. CHOI rejoined the University as Assistant Director of Human Resources. In 2019, she was promoted to Director of President’s Office cum Director of Quality Assurance. Apart from providing high level executive support to the President, she led the Mainland and International Affairs Office and oversees the Quality Assurance Office. She has also participated and contributed to a number of key university projects including the Institutional Review, University retitling, and OUHK (Zhaoqing) Project.
Ms. CHOI is a seasoned tertiary education administrator with profound experience in academic services, programme administration, project management, human resources as well as information systems.
