SEN Me Your Love: Child Care Service for Families in Subdivided Units (2023/2024) was launched on October 10, 2023. In collaboration with Sower Actions, a team of 23 undergraduate students was recruited as volunteers to provide comprehensive daytime care services. These services encompassed leisure, socialization, and educational activities specifically designed for 50 children with special educational needs (SEN) residing in subdivided flats.
During the programme, the students organized a series of engaging themed events for the SEN children, including “Bridge Builders,” “Board Game Day,” “Arts Day,” “Strawberry Harvest Day,” and “Sports Day.” Through these thoughtfully designed activities, the students aimed to improve physical fitness, foster teamwork and collaboration, and enhance the physical coordination abilities of the children with SEN. Moreover, the programme sought to create a nurturing and supportive environment that would boost the self-esteem and confidence of these children.
