New Whole Person Development Framework - Metro FAITH

One of the core responsibilities of the University is to cultivate talents. To achieve this goal, the University has formulated its Strategic Plan 2024-28 which is determined to offer students a well-rounded education and create them a unique university experience to launch them on a smooth and prosperous life journey. “Metro FAITH” (都大五毅) is an experiential learning model developed by the University to nurture students with a positive mindset and strengthen their resilience to build up their own faith to face adversities in life. The Scheme takes as its organising principle the essential virtues in positive psychology of the West and the educational concepts of Confucianism of the East, but they are integrated and reengineered so that they match with modern social and technological realities, and help students build stronger inner strength. The faith here does not carry any religious meaning but it refers to individual's confidence and intelligence to face difficulties.

Under this framework, Student Affairs Office is committed to offer diversified co-curricular activities to enrich students’ learning experiences and colour their U life.
