In collaboration with Fu Hong Society, HKMU Best Buddies Programme was launched by the Student Affairs Office in February 2023. This programme aims to encourage students to develop one-to-one friendships with people with intellectual disabilities, and to better understand their daily lives and the challenges they faced.

In addition to recruiting new  students this year, students from the previous year who participated have become the programme mentors, sharing their experiences and insights on interacting with people with intellectual disabilities with this year’s students. Furthermore, this year students can design and  organize service plans for their buddies to create their own special memories, including a day trip to the Butterfly Garden, sports booths and art activities.
