Upholding the belief in 'Education for All' , the HKMU established the 'Student Assistance Fund' in 1992 under the auspices of philanthropists, charities, businesses and professional bodies to ensure no aspiring learner will be deprived of the opportunity for higher education due to financial limitations.
The HKMU Student Financial Assistance Scheme was then established to provide bursaries and loans for students who encounter financial difficulties to pay the tuition fees. Since the establishment of the scheme, over 35,000 students have benefited and received more than $485 million of grants.
