The Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC) has launched the Equal Opportunity Youth Ambassador Scheme 2024/25! The Scheme aims to promote the values of diversity, equal opportunities and inclusion among tertiary students and rally young staunch supporters for equal opportunities.
Under the Scheme, the applications by the tertiary students will be reviewed by an assessment panel comprising the EOC Chairperson, Members and staff. Those selected to join the Scheme will be appointed as Youth Ambassadors and arranged to take part in a wide variety of experiential learning activities related to equal opportunities. The Scheme will present a unique and valuable opportunity for students to acquire skills and knowledge beyond classroom, expand their social network, and deepen their connection and belonging with the community including the EOC. Those Youth Ambassadors who have attained a satisfactory attendance rate of the activities under the Scheme would receive the following rewards:
The Scheme is open for application till 17 November 2024. We welcome all full-time students who are studying diploma courses or above, irrespective of gender, race, family status and diverse abilities, to join our Scheme. We would also provide reasonable adjustments for students with disabilities in accordance with their needs.
