Upskilling for a Greener Future Project - Green Skills Labs and Placement for Tertiary Students

As the world increasingly focuses on sustainable development, industries are actively investing in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) policies to meet the demands of the future. In response to this growing need, the demand for green talents with skills in innovative technology, engineering certification, sustainable development plans, business operations management, environmental brand management, and publicity strategies is on the rise.

Organised by The HKFYG Leadership Institute and supported by HSBC, the “Upskilling for a Greener Future Project” aims to equip tertiary students with essential green skills through targeted training and provide them with valuable placement opportunities, empowering them to thrive in the future.

Who is this for?
1. All-year tertiary students
2. Students interested in sustainability-related positions
*Priorities will be given to financially deprived students

Programme Highlights

• 4 series of Skills Labs on specialised green skills (March to April)

• Green placement and job shadowing opportunities (June to August; September to December)

Awards

• E-certificate of participation upon completion of Skills Labs

• Financial incentives: HK1,000 upon completion of Skills Labs; HK$1,500 upon completion of Green placement and job shadowing
