Debate of Ideas Series 2025 - Night of Ideas on “Empowerment”

The Consul General of France in Hong Kong and Macau, Mrs Christile Drulhe, is delighted to invite you to the Night of Ideas on “Empowerment” as part of our Debate of Ideas Series 2025, co-organized with the French Centre for Research on Contemporary China and the Asia Society Hong Kong Center

 It will be a festive and artistic way to celebrate dialogues, to engage in an insightful debate and discuss how we can take action on major contemporary global issues, notably on Ocean Preservation, Ageing and Social Inclusion, and Rights of LGBT+ People.

• 17:45: Registration

• 18:00: Opening speeches by Mrs Christile Drulhe, Consul General of France, and Ms Alice Mong, President of the Asia Society Hong Kong Center

• 18:10: Dance performance by the Jockey Club Dance Well Programme, presented by the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts

• 18:30: Focus on ocean preservation through art and photography

• 18:40: Screening except of All Shall Be Well in presence of the film director, Mr Ray Yeung

• 18:50: Roundtable discussion on Empowerment with Dr Kay Chi-yan Lam and Ms Fion Leung, moderated by Prof Agnes Shuk-mei Ku

• 19:45: Cocktail reception, VR experience presented by the Department of Ocean Science, HKUST and photo exhibition
