Under the scholarship programme of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), the Japanese Government will offer different types of scholarship for Hong Kong and Macau students wishing to pursue their studies at a Japanese university or Specialized Training College.  The scholarship covers Entrance fees and full tuition, Monthly allowance and Round-trip flight between Hong Kong and Japan.

Lee Hysan Foundation Ethnic Minority Student Postgraduate Scholarship aims to award students pursuing degree in key public service disciplines (social work, counselling, education, nursing, public health or similar fields) in Hong Kong. The award offers full tuition fee for the postgraduate degree programme and annual allowance.

The Scholarship for Teachers (Pursuit of Master's Degree Programmes) aims to recognise achievements of high-performing teachers and to encourage teachers' pursuit of higher qualifications as well as to enhance their professionalism.  The quota for the Scholarship for Teachers (2024/25) is 20.  A total amount of HK$80,000 will be awarded to each awardee.

Sir Robert Black Trust Fund Postgraduate Scholarships aim to provide opportunities for people of exceptional merit, who have demonstrated their potential to serve the community through the qualities of personal leadership, to develop their initiative and character, so that they may acquire greater social usefulness.
