The “MU Global Citizenship Programme 2025” aims to cultivate students a global mindset through a series of thematic eye-opening activities across different global issues to help students have a deep understanding of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) identified by the United Nations (UN) and have a chance to join a community engagement tour to Tokushima in Japan (日本德島).

During the tour, students will not only support routine community work essential for sustaining the vibrancy of the local area but also design and execute a Hong Kong-themed booth for the Yoshinogawa Festival, a signature community engagement event which is organized by locals, attracting over 20,000 participants each year sharing an aim to boost the local tourism economy. This experience aims to enhance students’ understanding on community engagement, facilitate cross-cultural exchange, and promote environmental responsibility.

All activities are self-initiated by student representatives from the MU Community Influencer Programme 2024/25 with the support of SAO.
