2023 International Conference on Open and Innovative Education (ICOIE 2023) will be held at Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) on 4–6 July 2023. It is a flagship conference organized by HKMU annually with the aims of providing a platform for sharing quality research, effective practices and well-formulated views relevant to open and innovative education; facilitating networking and cross-institutional collaboration among researchers and educators in fields of educational innovation and/or openness; and promoting studies and advancements in open and innovative education.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the conference series, and it will explore relevant key issues, with a special focus on the innovative pedagogical mode: agile-blended learning. Agile-blended learning is an innovative pedagogical mode that combines online and face-to-face learning with flexibility, personalization, collaboration, and feedback. It aims to enhance student engagement, motivation, and learning outcomes in various educational contexts.

The conference will feature keynote speeches, paper presentations and a forum. It will also include a special workshop on agile-blended learning, which will explore the course (re-)design and implementation of this effective approach of learning.
