Biography

Dr Sara Li is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Social Sciences. She serves as the Programme Leader of the Bachelor of Social Sciences with Honours in Psychology and Mental Health, and the Stream Leader of Counselling Psychology for the Bachelor of Social Sciences with Honours in Psychology (JUPAS Code: JS9010).
Dr Li's research areas are in music cognition, psycholinguistics, and cognitive psychology. She is particularly interested in music reading, music perception, music / cognitive training, visual word recognition, reading in different orthographies, hemispheric lateralization, multimodal processing and expertise effects. She uses eye-tracking or EEG techniques in some of her studies.
Dr. Li is grateful to be awarded as the Winner of the President's Awards for Excellence in Inspirational Teaching 2023. She wishes to share the excitement of learning psychology with all students.
