Mr Tony CHOW Ling Fung

Tony is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Social Sciences. Previously worked as a teaching staff at HKBU Education Studies, HKU Psychiatry, and Social Sciences, Tony designed and taught psychology and common core courses related to service leadership, genetics, human behaviors and civilization. He also served as a coordinator of the HKU SIGC internship program for psychology students. He was involved in interdisciplinary research projects about positive youth development, holistic competencies, special education needs, social inclusion, learning community, and health. His research focused particularly on interpersonal relationships and socio-emotional competencies (i.e., psychological resilience) among emerging adults. As a trained counselor in emotion-focused therapy, Tony aims to inspire students to develop critical awareness in acknowledging and effective communication skills in expressing their emotions eloquently.
