Overview

The Psychology and Behavioural Science Laboratory consists of seven rooms serving a wide range of research and teaching and learning purposes, as follows:
1. Virtual Reality(VR) and Computer Laboratory (B0519)

The Virtual Reality (VR) and Computer Laboratory facilitates research using computerized and virtual reality (VR) experiments. The room has seven all-in-one touchscreen computers with installed Eprime and Chronos response boxes. One of the computers is linked to the large screen to project information that facilitates teaching and learning. In addition, the room is equipped with advanced VR hardware and software to support VR research. Besides, with the one-way mirror installed, this room could serve as an observation room to observe the activities in the group interview room.

2. Group Interview Room (B0520)

The Group Interview Room provides a cozy space for conducting group interviews, focus groups, and meetings. The room is equipped with CCTV cameras and microphones for recording purposes.

3. Neuroscience and Eye-tracking Laboratory (B0521-B0522)

The Neuroscience and Eye-tracking Laboratory is equipped with advanced equipment for neuroscience and cognitive psychology research, such as a NeuroScan SynAmps RT 64-channel system with Quik-Caps, a Tobii Pro Spectrum eyetracker, an EyeLink Portable Duo eyetracker, biofeedback CAPTIV measurements (e.g., heart rate, skin conductance etc.) etc. These facilities allow further investigations into how the brain or other physiological measures work in processing.
