朱同學係應屆互聯網科技榮譽電腦學學士畢業生，有傑出的學術成績表現。在四年大學生涯中，先後獲得共14次學科優秀學生獎 (Outstanding Student Award)，多次入選Dean’s List，非常了得。她熱衷學習，課餘時把握時間踴躍發問，積極參與各式各樣的大型比賽，吸取經驗，令自己的學業能夠更上一層樓。
大家好！我是朱卓玲Tiffany。我在中學時選修資訊及通訊科技而對相關學科産生濃厚的興趣，決定報讀都會大學的互聯網科技榮譽電腦學學士課程。香港都會大學的課程內容十分豐富和實用，廣泛地涵蓋有關IT的專業知識，是一個能有效地提高我電腦學習水平的途徑。 我很感謝都大提供一個踏腳石，為我未來投身IT行業奠定良好的基礎。
課程內容涵蓋多元化的電腦知識及技能。在一、二年級，我學習了基本的編程技巧，例如C和Java，數據結構，以及互聯網科技的基本概念。這些知識成為了我在編程路途的基礎。而到三、四年級，就會深入了解各個專業範疇的實用知識，例如軟件工程，數據庫技術，網絡和流動應用系統編程，雲端運算和人工智能等。這些專業知識有助我設計和開發對社會大眾有意義的應用程式，亦為我的畢業作品和未來事業添益不少。
畢業作品是我這四年來最具挑戰性的一件事。我需要分析現實生活中會遇到的困難，從而制定合適的解決方案，並規劃未來的發展方向。不但如此，也要懂得把過去四年所學融會貫通並實踐出來。我的畢業作品是設計和開發人工智能應用程式——EE Meeting Booster。整個項目十分具挑戰性，不時出現新的難題，要自己尋找解決方法。透過完成畢業作品，不但累積了多元化的學習經歷，拓闊視野，更為進修碩士做好準備，投身IT行業邁進一大歩。
都大的導師和教授都十分專業，下課後他們都樂意解答學生的疑問，提供悉切的指導和協助，我衷心感謝毎位老師無微不至、耐心的教導。
於2017年至2019年期間，我很榮幸被選為都會大學的代表之一，先後參加了三次ACM-HK編程大賽，鼓勵我實踐所學，吸取經驗。
都大提供一些專門的培訓課程來裝備我去迎接比賽。課程以一些問題為例，我們要懂得利用適合的演算法去解決這些難題。我從這些課程中學到了很多算法和解決問題的技能。
這些比賽不但令我大開眼界，更讓我對一些比較艱深的課題有更深刻的理解，是一個很好的機會學習課程以外的知識。同時，我學會了團隊合作的精神。俗話說「友誼第一，比賽第二」。我在比賽中最大的得著是學會如何與人合作，溝通能力及團隊合作等軟技巧得以提升，明白到團隊合作的重要性。我深信這些寶貴的經驗會是我未來職業的踏腳石，為自己將來投身社會工作打下紮實的基礎。總括而言，這些ACM-HK編程比賽是難忘而有意義的經歷。
Jonathan handles all external affairs include business development, patents write up and public relations. He is frequently interviewed by media and is considered a pioneer in 3D printing products.
After graduating from OUHK, Krutz obtained an M.Sc. in Engineering Management from CityU. He is now completing his second master degree, M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering, at CUHK. Krutz has a wide range of working experience. He has been with Siemens, VTech, and PCCW.
Hugo Leung Wai-yin, who graduated from his four-year programme in 2015, won the Best Paper Award for his ‘intelligent pill-dispenser’ design at the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering’s International Conference on Consumer Electronics – China 2015.
The pill-dispenser alerts patients via sound and LED flashes to pre-set dosage and time intervals. Unlike units currently on the market, Hugo’s design connects to any mobile phone globally. In explaining how it works, he said: ‘There are three layers in the portable pillbox. The lowest level is a controller with various devices which can be connected to mobile phones in remote locations. Patients are alerted by a sound alarm and flashes. Should they fail to follow their prescribed regime, data can be sent via SMS to relatives and friends for follow up.’ The pill-dispenser has four medicine slots, plus a back-up with a LED alert, topped by a 500ml water bottle. It took Hugo three months of research and coding to complete his design, but he feels it was worth all his time and effort.
Hugo’s public examination results were disappointing and he was at a loss about his future before enrolling at the OUHK, which he now realizes was a major turning point in his life. He is grateful for the OUHK’s learning environment, its industry links and the positive guidance and encouragement from his teachers. The University is now exploring the commercial potential of his design with a pharmaceutical company. He hopes that this will benefit the elderly and chronically ill, as well as the society at large.
Soon after completing his studies, Hugo joined an automation technology company as an assistant engineer. He is responsible for the design and development of automation devices. The target is to minimize human labor and increase the quality of products. He is developing products which are used in various sections, including healthcare, manufacturing and consumer electronics.
